The Contractor Chronicles #3

Had to renegotiate again, as there still isn't enough work to fill a 40 hour work week. The project is almost over.....*smile*. I'm just not really good at being idle.

Some other nice things about being a contractor - being able to set my own schedule. I was sick over the last week or so and opted to inform them that I would not be in on certain days and would work from home if needed. So much different from a salary position.

This is really not a situation I really recommend - especially if you are not independently wealthy and are contracting for fun(?). But I'm trying to make the most of it overall.

My exit conversation is looming in the future however. Not sure what I want to say overall. I can honestly say I do not want to work in this department again but would be open to something else.
